News: We are an active UU community. You will find links to some of our activities and announcements here. 

  •  Join the Building Dedication Committee to plan our opening celebration in September; contact President Judy Goldsmith.

  • Join the Public Relations Committee to enhance our community visibility; contact president Judy Goldsmith.

  • Building Update: Suspended ceiling is going in and flooring is close behind. Stay tuned for move-in plans!

  • OCUUF's Rummage Sale is postponed until September.

  • May's "Breaking the Silence" event was a success, with 45 participants from nine Fond du Lac churches/organizations. Becoming an officially recognized UUA "Welcoming Congregation" will be discussed at the June 15 Annual Meeting.

  • Child care during service is provided for young children by Angie Leu in the small room at the end of the fellowship hall.

  • Religious Education for ages Preschool-Grade 8 during service.

  • Sunday service announcements are due to Madonna Bowman by Thursday noon.

  • See bulletin board for information about a UU Family Camp held at Williams Bay, WI July 13-19.

Around the Commmunity:

  • Tanzanian Trunk Show, June 10, 4-7:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 1225 4th St. Supports The Empowering Women's Future: The AIDS Orphan Sewing Project and features hand-made African clothes, Fair Trade items from around the world, and supper/snacks from the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

  • Earth Mama Concert, June 20, 7 p.m., at Maximiallian's in Mt. Calvary; free but reservations required; 753-2131; "Helping Heal the Planet One Song at a Time," sponsored by School Sisters of Notre Dame and supporting the launch of SUNSEED Eco-Education Center.

  • Ellen Flood requests donations of materials that can be used for hat making at this summer’s Prairie Fest --- ribbon, fabric scraps, artificial flowers, do-dads, etc.  Donations may be given to Ellen or John McDowell.

  • Stand for Peace, every Thursday, 5-6 p.m., corner of Johnson and Peters streets.

  • Just Fare Market, First Presbyterian Church (4th St. Road). Offering fair trade coffee, tea, chocolate and gift items from around the world. Volunteer staff needed for Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (2 or 4-hours shifts) Contact Jill Stiemsma of Prairie Lake UU Fellowship for more information and to get involved.
