Story teller Midge Miles
returns, bringing us three stories with themes centering on justice and peace -- universally held values held by spiritual traditions around the world. Midge says the service "is intended to awaken our imaginations, touch our hearts, and inspire us to act justly."

 

        GAME NIGHT at the Fellowship beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Please bring your favorite games and snacks/ dessert and beverages to share. (Coffee and water provided)

Student minister Leslie Kee will utilize the "appreciative inquiry" process to establish a decision making process to help the Fellowship in making short and long term decisions about the appearance of our building and grounds.

 

News: We are an active UU community. You will find links to some of our activities and announcements here. 

  • Sunday, January 18th: Choir rehersal at 9:00 am prior to the service.

  • At their recent Board retreat the OCUUF worked on expanding programming based on the ideas generated at the November breakfast meeting. Beginning in February we will offer educational/ interactive programs at 10:00 a.m. on the second Sunday of the month.

  • Join the Public Relations Committee to enhance our community visibility; contact president Judy Goldsmith.

  • Religious Education for ages Preschool-Grade 8 during service.

  • Sunday service announcements are due to Madonna Bowman by Thursday noon.

Around the Commmunity:

  • Just Fare Market, First Presbyterian Church (4th St. Road). Offering fair trade coffee, tea, chocolate and gift items from around the world. Volunteer staff needed for Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (2 or 4-hours shifts) Contact Jill Stiemsma of Prairie Lake UU Fellowship for more information and to get involved.
